Chapter 373 Don’t Keep Repeating It to Me
After entering the room, Evelyn rolled up the pajamas and
threw them into the trash can.
When Huston came in, he saw a woman whose sleeves were hanging loosely on the frame outside the trash can. The man pursed his thin lips slightly and called out to the woman sitting on the bed facing the wall. “Why did you throw it away?”
Evelyn ignored him. Her good mood after returning from the market was gone, leaving only depression that she had
nowhere to vent.
Huston raised his voice and repeated it again. There was a
hint of oppression in his tone. “I’m asking you a question. Why
did you throw it away?”
Evelyn turned her head angrily. “How can I wear what others
wear? This is pajamas, not a jacket.”
“Since that’s the case, why did you insist on coming back just now?” In Huston’s impression, Evelyn had never been someone who would make things difficult for others, so her stubbornness just now had surprised him.
Huston didn’t understand what she was thinking, so he naturally didn’t quite understand.
However, Evelyn was unwilling to explain. His words were enough to make her lose the mood to explain.
“Why can’t I get my things back?” Evelyn found it funny. “You took someone else’s thing without permission. Why can’t I get
it back?”
“Evelyn, you don’t have to emphasize it to me.”
“I didn’t.” Evelyn bit her lips, and her chin trembled. She
suppressed the surging emotions in her heart and said,
“Whether it’s clothes or anything else, It is mine. Unless I want
to, I will never allow anyone to touch it.”
What’s more, Mia had other thoughts about Huston. Although
it was just a guess, as a woman, Evelyn felt that she was right.
“We’re under the same house, and friction is inevitable. What
good is it for you to insist on arguing for justice?” Huston tried
to reason with her, trying to relieve her emotions.
But Evelyn couldn’t listen to him at all. “This is my bottom line. I
can tolerate everything else, but how can I tolerate things that touch my bottom line?”
After that, Evelyn waved her hand and didn’t want to continue
the conversation. If she went on, she would quarrel again.
“Let’s calm down. If you were on my side, you wouldn’t have persuaded me like this.”
After that, Evelyn went straight into the bathroom and closed
the door, leaving only a silhouette on the frosted glass for him.
After a while, the sound of running water came from inside.
