Chapter 477 I Believe All Your Lies
Kevin grabbed her shoulders and pulled her into his arms. He blocked her view with his chest and said in a low voice, “Stay without saying.”
“But!”
“Shut up!”
Evelyn widened her eyes and looked up at the man in front of
her. Her lively eyes were filled with tears, leaving only sadness. “Huston, I didn’t do anything. Don’t do this, okay?”
Evelyn said the last two words so weakly. Instead of
persuading him, she was begging him.
Evelyn really, really hoped that this man could trust her.
“You didn’t do it?” Huston finally came to his senses. He looked
at her coldly, shook off the neck of the Security Manager, and pointed at the computer screen. “Well, explain to me why the
surveillance camera captured this, and I’ll choose to believe
you.”
Evelyn opened her mouth but couldn’t make a sound. How
could she explain it?
Was it Mia who framed her?
Or did Mia plan all of this?
Evelyn didn’t know what to say and stood there in a panic. The only hope in the man’s heart was gradually exhausted in her silence, replaced by a huge panic.
Yes, he was flustered. He was afraid that all of this was caused by her. He was afraid that she would choose to take revenge on him and Mia in this way.
“What’s wrong? Can’t you say it?” He laughed and then roared, “Why aren’t you saying anything?! Evelyn, you said that I don’t believe you? Heh, do you know that even if you
make up a reasonable lie, I, Huston, will still fucking believe
you?!”
Huston grabbed her shoulders with both hands and lost
control of his strength. He shook her body back and forth as if he was going to crush her. “Tell me!”
Looking at his bloodshot eyes, Evelyn slowly closed her eyes and spoke in despair. From the time she received the phone call to the time she entered the hospital, from putting on the isolation suit that had a ‘hidden mystery’ for a long time to
when she said that the medicine could be fatal, she told him
everything that had happened tonight.
“You’re asking me what happened?” Evelyn choked with sobs. Every word she uttered required a lot of support. “Why don’t you ask Mia how she managed to deceive everyone and why she wanted to kill me.”
Kevin looked at the two people who were in grief. At this time, there was not much reason left in him. It was unrealistic to rely
on him to find out what was going on. Only he, as a bystander,
was still rational. “You mean, you received a call from Mia and
came to the hospital, and then she planned all of this?”
“Yes, she…”
Before she could finish her sentence, the phone in his pocket suddenly rang. The crisp ringtone was particularly abrupt at
this moment. He frowned. It was a call from Sandy’s attending
doctor. He quickly picked it up and asked, “The operation is
over? How is the situation?”
His words attracted everyone’s attention. The expression on Kevin’s face grew uglier as he hung up the phone without saying a word.
