Chapter 479 Abnormal Death
When Huston arrived at the emergency room, none of the
medical staff had left.
The patient died on the operating table because of an
‘accident. It was the first time since the establishment of the
Lane’s Hospital. According to the hospital’s internal system, it could be regarded as a first-class accident.
The expression on Kevin’s face did not look any better. What
was even more terrifying was the man who was following
closely behind him. His handsome face, which had no blind
spots, was almost distorted. His expression was as dark as the
iron sheets in the cold wind.
When Huston walked to the operating table, all the
instruments were still connected to Sandy’s body. However, there was no longer any fluctuation in his index, and all of
them had turned into a straight line.
Sandy was dead.
The doctor in charge, Doctor Moll, was duty-bound. He could
only stand up and say, “I’m sorry, Kevin, Mr. Lloyd. I’m sorry. I failed to save the patient.”
Doctor Moll bowed slightly to the two of them and continued, “The cause of death is an injection of Barbie and sulfuric acid.”
This caused Kevin’s expression to change drastically. He was no stranger to these two elements. To be exact, all those who studied medicine were no strangers to them. The Brass was a type of anesthetic that could cause a person to lose consciousness for a short period of time. As for the sulfur peroxide, it had a blood coagulation function. When these two elements were added together, it could immediately cause a person’s death without any side effects. If it was fast, it would be enough to cause a person to lose all signs of life in less
than half a minute.
If one added pressure, then one would die of happiness.
It was strange and shocking to see such a cause of death in
Sandy. It had changed from a medical accident to a murder, and the needle had been injected by Evelyn.
Sensing the subtle change in the atmosphere, he did not look
at Sandy, who was on the operating table. Instead, he turned
around and asked, “An abnormal death?”
Kevin nodded with difficulty. “Yes.”
The man’s expression did not change, and there was almost
no emotion in his eyes. His gaze fell on the medical staff next to him, and his dark eyes were like laser beams that could
penetrate people’s hearts. “You are not allowed to tell anyone about what happened today without my permission, including the death of the patient.”
Kevin frowned and tried to stop her. “Huston, this is against
the rules.”
“I know.” Huston interrupted him, but she had no intention of stopping. Instead, he went further and requested, “I want to handcuff the surveillance footage of the ward.”
For a second, Kevin was stunned. “It’s not a small matter to
secretly copy the hospital’s surveillance footage.”
Kevin stopped there and did not go on. He knew it all without
him saying it.
Their eyes met. After so many years of tacit understanding, they had already understood each other.
Huston didn’t say anything, but his gaze was heavy. “Kevin, do
you believe me?”
Huston knew what it meant to take away the surveillance
video of a private hospital. Moreover, there was such a big
“accident” in this ward. If they did not fully trust it, no one would dare to agree to this request.
