When the car arrived at the main road, the man took the initiative to ask, "Where's the supermarket? Tell me."
Evelyn didn't want to talk too much with him. "Check the navigation..."
"Are you sure you have to say something like that?" He replied calmly, sounding rather displeased.
She immediately glanced at Lucas in the side mirror. Fortunately, the child did not react. She gritted her teeth in hatred and knew that he was torturing her on purpose. The stubbornness in her nature rose. "Drive forward. At the intersection ahead!"
"..."
"Turn right at the next intersection and take the left lane."
"..."
"Keep going straight. Turn at the front."
Evelyn showed him the way with due diligence. Huston didn't reply to her. The only thing he cared about was whether Lucas was cold or not and whether he wanted to close the window. As for Evelyn, he didn't care about her at all.
Evelyn felt that there must be something wrong with her, so she felt a little unhappy.
What was she unhappy about?
She didn't expect that Huston would treat her so well. When they first met, he had asked her to get lost.
While she was in a daze, he drove to the parking lot of the supermarket. When Huston stopped, he was the first to get out of the car, went around to the back door, opened the door, and reached out to Lucas.
Lucas unbuckled his seatbelt and glanced at the man's strong arms. He hesitated for a moment before reaching out his hand.
As soon as she got out of the car, Evelyn saw Huston bending down to put down the child. The night wind blew through the man's hair, and his tender voice was not very clear.
"Uncle, do you want to go shopping with us?"
Huston was very scheming. He was such a cold person, yet he was pretending at this moment. "Uncle is very happy, but I don't know if your mother agrees or not."
