Chapter 645 Do You Want to Meet Grandma and Grandpa?
Huston had told her this word twice, but she refused to admit it and argued. However, if she couldn’t even fool others, would she still believe it?
“No matter what decision you make; I will respect you. I only have one request.” Bert walked up to her. He was as fall as a mountain. “No matter what happens, you must tell me.”
Evelyn nodded, reassuring him. “Alright.”
For the whole night, Evelyn almost didn’t sleep. She sat in the children’s room of Lucas, looking at the sleepy child, and then looked out of the window. She sat from the night to the sky.
She was not a person who could stay up late. When she needed coffee, she had to hang herself. But now, she had stayed up all night and was not sleepy at all.
She suddenly remembered a sentence she had inadvertently seen before: People who had something on their mind and couldn’t fall asleep.
At that time, she felt that it was bullshit. How could she be
mind?
Now she finally experienced this feeling. When she had a lot on her mind, not to mention being sleepy, she couldn’t even divert her energy. Her mind was occupied by these “mindsets” and tortured. Unless it was solved, she would be tortured endlessly.
She couldn’t let this go on forever. If she pushed Huston too hard, she and her child would suffer.
After thinking about it for a night, Evelyn suddenly figured it out. Perhaps she really should make a trip back to the country. In addition to Huston, many people missed her and hoped for her. She had to face them. She left five years ago. Now, she had to take on these responsibilities.
“Mom, why are you here?” Suddenly, a sleepy voice of Lucas came from the bed.
When Evelyn came to her senses, she found that it was already seven o’clock and the child had woken up.
She walked over quickly. Unexpectedly, she had been sitting there for too long, so she still felt a little dizzy when she suddenly stood up.
She staggered and reached out to hold on to the wall beside
her to stabilize herself, waiting for the dizziness to subside.
“Mom, what’s wrong?” Lucas was worried about his mother. He got up from the bed and ran to her leg without putting on his slippers. He held her hand considerately and asked, “Mom, are you all right?”
Evelyn felt warm in her heart and didn’t want him to worry. She quickly smiled and said, “I’m fine. My legs are just numb. Can you help me over?”
