Chapter 647 It’s Not a Coincidence!
Evelyn bought two Monday flight tickets, which are economy seats. They didn’t bring much luggage, only a big box in total. When they arrived at the departure gate to get the tickets, they were told by the staff that their plane tickets had been upgraded and there were two business seats.
Evelyn frowned and thought that the staff had made a mistake. “Sorry, we bought economy class. Please confirm it again.”
“Miss Shelton, your plane ticket has indeed been upgraded.”
“But we haven’t paid alone.”
“How about this? I’ll give you the ticket first, and you can verify the details yourself. Because you’re here now, the passengers behind you will also be affected.” The staff politely reminded her. Behind her, someone who was on the plane complained in a low voice.
Evelyn had no choice but to take the plane ticket and follow Lucas to pack up her luggage. Because she had bought a business seat, she could go through the VIP channel. It was
not until she entered the lounge that she realized who had upgraded their cabin.
In the quiet VIP lounge, there were a few rows of clean and tidy sofas. Not far away, a man in a black trench coat was drinking coffee.
The man just sat there. He didn’t do anything, but people couldn’t help looking at him.
She tightened her grip on the child’s hand. She was surprised. Who else could it be but the man whom she loved and hated?
“Mom, is that Uncle?” Lucas recognized him.
That’s right. Who else could secretly check their flight, buy
plane ticket of the same period, and upgrade their cabin without saying a word except for that man?
Unfortunately, Evelyn couldn’t say anything in front of the child. She could only grit her teeth and say, “Yes, what a coincidence.”
It wasn’t a coincidence!
When Huston noticed the commotion, he turned his head slightly and smiled amiably at Lucas. “We meet again, Lucas.”
Evelyn took a deep breath and held it back. She had to
3/4
hold it in. She couldn’t swear in front of the child, nor could she use violence.
“Hello, uncle. Nice to meet you again!” Lucas had received a diverse education since he was a child, which made his words and actions stand out.
Evelyn had no choice but to lead him over and sit on the sofa next to him. Lucas sat in the middle, and the two adults sat on both sides.
“Uncle is also very happy.” When Huston faced the child, he did not have the usual demeanor of keeping others at arm’s length. He retracted all the feelings that might make the child reject him and tried his best to get close to him.
Evelyn gritted her teeth. “What a coincidence to meet you here.”
The man looked away as if he had just noticed her. He wanted to annoy her on purpose, but when his eyes fell on her, he couldn’t look away.
She was wearing a light pink coat today, which was not vulgar and fresh. She was also wearing a V-neck shirt, a pair of washed-blue jeans, and a pair of white sneakers. Her hair was half scattered and half tied behind her head. At first glance, she looked like a college student who had just left school.
Huston instantly recalled the last time she had met her at the bar five years ago. It was the same feeling. In the luxurious and exaggerated environment, she was like a little daisy swaying in the wind, delicate and lovely.
