Chapter 662 You Can Sit Next to Huston
Huston’s indifference was more infuriating than if he had slapped her in the face. Her chest heaved heavily, anger reaching its peak, but she had to suppress it and grit her teeth. as she watched the man’s figure disappear at the doorway.
It didn’t matter that he didn’t like her. The Lloyd family members liked her very much!
With that thought in mind, Luna adjusted her expression and followed him inside.
Cathy was in the living room, arranging the flowers that Luna had brought earlier. They were a few high-quality lilies and hydrangeas. When Huston walked in, she quickly stood up. “Huston, you’re back.”
Standing up from the sofa was Cathy’s current husband, Nathan Thompson.
“Mom, Uncle Thompson.” Huston nodded and greeted them, although Cathy had been with Nathan for quite some time, he still hadn’t changed his way of addressing him.

Many things were predetermined from the beginning. He didn’t want to force himself to get close to anyone, especially those superficial closeness that is unnecessary.
Nathan stood up from the sofa. He rarely saw Huston once a year, and now that he saw him, he felt a sense of pressure as a man, leaving him somewhat awkward.
He knew that Cathy had a son who was quite remarkable. He used to be a lawyer and reached the top position in the industry. Now he had switched to investments and had made
a name for himself. He was a formidable figure.
Seeing him now, it was clear that he was extraordinary with just one look. He was not an ordinary person.
Huston didn’t care about Nathan’s opinion of him and asked Cathy, who was beside him, “Where are Grandpa and
Grandma?”
“Your grandma is in the kitchen, and Grandpa is upstairs in his study, reading,” Cathy replied. Just as she finished speaking, Luna walked in from the entrance, seeming to know that Huston didn’t like her. Cathy didn’t treat her as politely as before and just smiled.
Huston turned and went upstairs to call his grandfather down, coincidentally greeting him as well.
Ever since the incident with his grandfather’s heart disease,
there had been some awkwardness between Huston and his grandfather. His grandfather blamed him for not being filial and for not obeying, which angered the old man. Huston, on the other hand, was unwilling to bow down for matters regarding Evelyn.
But now that Evelyn had returned, Huston no longer avoided the issue. The past was the past, and he had something to discuss later.
After a while, Renee finally arrived at the old house near mealtime. Shedding her previous childishness, she had grown into a young woman. “I’m sorry, there was a traffic jam on the way, so I’m late.”
“You should have come early if you knew there would be traffic. Your brother has been here for half a day, and you’re even busier than him?” Cathy scolded her with a stern face.
Huston just glanced at her and said, “It’s normal for kids to be playful. It’s not a meeting or anything. It’s fine to be a little late.”
Upon hearing this, Renee immediately smiled brightly, “Thank you, big brother!”
