When she woke up the next morning, it was almost 10 o'clock, which should be the last time she had gotten up comfortably in so many years.
She put her hands on the bed and was about to get up. However, as soon as she moved her legs, she couldn't help but cry out in pain.
She frowned and froze, not daring to move. She took a deep breath and was about to slowly move out of bed when the bedroom door was pushed open from the outside.
A gust of wind blew over, and she immediately covered her body with the quilt.
Looking at the woman who was sitting at the head of the bed and tightly wrapping herself up, there was a trace of anxiety in his eyes. "You're awake? Lucas wants to see you, but he didn't listen to me. He's sulking with me in the bedroom."
After that, he gritted his teeth again and said, "It's time to change his habit. This kind of dependence is not a good sign."
She looked at him coldly. Thinking of how he was indifferent when she begged him for mercy last night, she was a little annoyed. She looked at him with a small face and said, "Get out."
He had just suffered a lot from his son, but he didn't expect to be bullied after entering the room. He was a little puzzled and asked, "What's wrong in the morning?"
"What's wrong?" After saying that, she couldn't help complaining. "Last night, you... you were like that. I'm in so much pain now."
"It hurts!"
The man frowned and then reached out to pull the quilt off her body. Evelyn noticed his action and quickly rolled to the side, even though this action made her almost scream in pain. "What are you doing?"
"I'm not doing anything. I'm good at it."
She immediately wrapped herself tighter around herself and glared at him angrily. "No!"
"Be good and listen to me. Let me have a look." Maybe he remembered that he had gone too far last night, so he didn't get angry but persuaded her patiently.
