"Then what should we do next?"
The man's eyes fell on the computer screen in front of the desk. It was full of red and green lines, as well as all kinds of codes and numbers. It was today's stock market.
He tapped his index finger on the table silently. After thinking for a long time, he said, "Now that the project has been maliciously interfered with by Bert, it may be a little difficult to go public. Send the person in charge to negotiate with them and come up with an acquisition plan. We can give them independent management rights. We will only participate in the dividends at the end of the year and be a shareholder."
Benjamin was a little surprised. He had never heard of an acquisition proposal from Huston before, so he couldn't help but worry. "President Lloyd, in fact, this project is not absolutely necessary..."
He shook his head. "Don't worry, I'm not being impulsive. This is my plan B."
"But if it's acquired, the risk we need to bear will be greater." Benjamin raised his hand and pushed his eyeglasses. He was still a little worried. After all, he had never participated in the acquisition for so many years. This was a fundamental adjustment.
"Don't forget what I used to do," Huston said meaningfully.
Only then did Benjamin remember that this man had another identity. A lawyer, and a famous one at that.
After working with him for so many years, he had almost overlooked his other skill. It made sense. If he had been impulsive or unwise, how could he have made such a good investment in just three to four years?
Perhaps, his worries were unnecessary.
"I'm sorry, President Lloyd. I'm just worried that Bert will make trouble during the acquisition."
"Of course I'm going to make trouble, but since I can't avoid it, why should I?" He was like this. The harder it was, the more he wanted to challenge it.
He would not give up his project, nor would he act on impulse. His smart brain would not allow him to do this. He had to do better.
He was busy dealing with a lot of things in the company until seven o'clock in the evening, he had not eaten or drunk much. After signing the contract, there was still a meeting. After the meeting, he had to communicate with the heads of various departments of the company. After a few hours, he felt tired so he stopped.
