Chapter 842 Why he hasn't woken up yet
The flight from Eoland to Jewel City took more than ten hours, which was undoubtedly the most difficult time for Evelyn. When she arrived safely, it was already past nine o'clock in the evening, and everything was shrouded in darkness. Only the lights on both sides of the airplane runway were on, and the repressed emotions lingered in her heart.
She pulled her luggage out of the airport. On the side of the road, Marcellus stood by the car and waved at her. "Leanna, this way!"
Evelyn walked over in a hurry, and Marcellus took the luggage and put it in the trunk. There was no one else following them. The two of them sat in the car, and a silent tension filled the quiet car.
"Marcellus, take me directly to the hospital," Evelyn said in a hoarse voice, which was caused by her crying.
Marcellus nodded and started the car. "Okay."
Along the way, the two of them barely communicated with each other. They tacitly did not mention Huston, but their thoughts were all about that man.
It was not that she didn't want to ask, but that she didn't dare to. She wanted to see it in person.
The long silence made Marcellus a little worried. When the car passed the intersection, he glanced at the woman in the passenger seat out of the corner of his eye. She didn't cry, make a fuss, or even show any emotion. It was beyond his imagination, but her heartache and anxiety were written all over her face.
"Sister-in-law, are you all right?"
Evelyn was so immersed in her emotions that she didn't hear anything. After a while, she came to her senses, shook her head gently, and said in a low voice, "I'm fine."
She had no other feelings now. She just wanted to see that man as soon as possible, as if only by seeing her would all kinds of emotions return to her body.
