Finding Love in the Boss’s Embrace After Divorce novel Chapter 856

Chapter 856 I Don't Want to Disturb Her

The eyes of the man, who had been strong for more than 30 years, almost burst into tears because of the child's words. He smiled and said, "Sorry, I can't hug you now."

Lucas walked up to him obediently, raised his little hand, and supported the man's other hand like a doctor. "Dad, let me help you."

Looking at the interaction between the two of them, Evelyn's heart was like a sponge filled with water. For some reason, her eyes were a little sore. This happiness was not easy to come by. She had waited for too long.

Lucas and the doctor helped him back to the ward. The man was afraid that the child would struggle, so he didn't use much strength. As soon as he lay down, Evelyn immediately got a warm towel to wipe the sweat off his head. "Is it hard?"

"I can still bear it." The man's voice was faint and emotionless as if the person who had gritted his teeth was not him.

She knew that he cared about his reputation and wanted to be strong from the bottom of his heart, so she did not say anything.

"Dad, where does it hurt? I'll give you a massage." Lucas didn't know what was wrong with him, but he remembered that the people on TV seemed to be fine after a massage like this.

Just as she was about to speak, she was interrupted by the man's gentle voice. "Then help me massage my fingers."

He felt weak all over his body, and only his fingers could barely make him feel better.

Lucas immediately nodded and moved to the bedside. His two small hands were not even as big as his palms. Although his movements were clumsy, he massaged him carefully.

Huston looked at the little face that looked exactly like his own, and the strange feeling of being related by blood once again assaulted him.

The so-called filial piety was probably like this.

Outside the door, Bert stood on the side of the ward. All he could see was the scene just now. The family of three was happy. Even though there was a thick door between them, he could still feel the warmth, but it had nothing to do with him.
