The strange but familiar feeling was like an electric current sweeping through Evelyn's whole body. The strength in her body seemed to have been taken away. Her legs went limp and she fell into the hospital bed, her head sinking into the soft pillow. The man's hot body pressed down on her as if he was afraid of weighing her down. His hands supported her head on both sides, and his whole body was suspended less than a fist's distance from her body.
Huston looked over. His eyes were so dark and bright that Evelyn couldn't bear such a burning gaze. Her heartbeat rose to the highest point, and she nervously swallowed her saliva. "Huston..."
It was fine when she didn't speak, but when she opened her mouth, it was full of coquetry and shyness, which made her scalp tighten.
Huston's eyes were filled with affection, and the love he could not hide was about to overflow. "I'm here."
"I miss you so much." Although she was shy to say it out loud, she couldn't help expressing her feelings to him over and over again. Although she was repeating it, it was all her sincerity.
"I know, I know." The man lifted his hand to brush away the hair scattered on her face and kissed her gently from her forehead to the tip of her nose. He knew everything she had experienced in the past six months, and it was only with this that he could stand up again.
However, Huston didn't want to say it out loud. He was afraid that she would feel burdened, so he just called out her name affectionately, "My dear Evelyn, my dear Evelyn..."
Looking at his chiseled face, Evelyn felt as if her ears were on fire. Her reflection was in the depths of her dark eyes, and she was alone. She was about to be drawn into the darkness.
"Don't leave me again..."
"Okay."
