The next morning, Evelyn was woken up by the alarm clock on the bedside table. She opened her eyes in a daze and frowned as she reached out for her phone. However, she did not touch it for a long time. Instead, she touched the man's warm arm.
She was stunned for a moment. Then she turned around and met the man's sleepy eyes. For a moment, she was stunned.
"Looking for the phone?" Huston handed the phone to her and hugged her tightly. "Snoop for a while longer."
Evelyn was stunned for a moment before she remembered that the man had returned last night.
Tears welled up in her eyes. She slowly reached out to hug him back. "I've been waking up on my own for the past six months. I'm still a little unaccustomed to seeing you when I open my eyes."
Hearing this, he tightened his grip on her body. His hoarse and sexy voice came from the side of her neck. "Then get used to it. You'll suffer in the future."
Evelyn smiled silently, enjoying this rare moment of warmth. She didn't forget to get down to matters. "My dad is going to the operating room later. Get up early."
If possible, Huston wanted to hold her like this until the end of time, but after all, his father-in-law was still waiting for the operation next door. He had no choice but to get up. "Get up."
Evelyn nodded and loosened her grip on him. She wanted to sit up straight, but as soon as she got up, she felt a slight pain between her legs.
She took a deep breath and hissed, attracting the attention of the man who was buttoning up his shirt. "What's wrong?"
Evelyn avoided his gaze and was too embarrassed to tell him the truth. She said vaguely, "It's okay. I hooked my hair."
Without thinking too much, Huston continued to slowly button his shirt.
