Chapter 983 I'd Rather Jump
When Evelyn woke up, she was already in a large bedroom. She first saw the luxurious crystal chandelier above her head when she opened her eyes. There was no light in the room, only bright moonlight through the window.
She tried to move her body, but there was nothing unusual except for the pain in her neck caused by the hit.
Evelyn sat up carefully from the bed. Before she could react, she heard a clear male voice coming from the darkness.
"You're awake."
Just as Evelyn was about to get out of bed, the voice reminded her of what had happened before she fainted.
In the private room, a man appeared seemingly out of nowhere, pressing a sharp knife against her, with a trace of fresh blood seeping out...
Evelyn turned her head abruptly and only then noticed a figure on the nearby sofa. She squinted her eyes to get a closer look and, indeed, confirmed that it was the foreign man she had encountered earlier.
Hawk stood up from the sofa as if waiting for a long time. He stretched his neck, turned around, walked to the wall behind him, and raised his hand to press the switch.
With a "bang," the room was instantly filled with bright light. Evelyn covered her eyes in discomfort but was afraid he would do something, so she quickly moved her hand away.
There was a sofa, a table, and a bed. The floor was covered with a high-end wool carpet. It was spacious and luxurious, giving off an indescribably strange feeling.
Seeing him approaching, Evelyn quickly got off the bed and stood up. She didn't even have time to put on her shoes and stood barefoot, retreating to the edge of the window sill. "Don't come any closer!"
Hawk didn't care about her words. He walked straight to less than two meters in front of her before stopping and looking at her playfully. "What's wrong? Do you want to jump down?"
