Their imperfections, and the face that they didn’t want to be perfect or have a perfect marriage made them able to cope when one of them made a mistake. Thankfully, Pandora was very kind, and since it was Benjamin that normally screwed up, that made him lucky.

Benjamin glanced at Pandora who was hugging his mother, and he noticed she had a warm glow around her. He had always seen it, but it had become more evident to him since they renewed their wedding vows.

Benjamin wanted–needed–to marry her again, not because they were both drunk the first time, but because he needed her to know that he meant it all and that he wanted her to be his wife.

Pandora looked stunning in the wedding dress that Maisey had made her, but he thought she could have worn a trash bag and still shone like a star. She was so happy and cheerful that he made it his ow to make her that happy at least once a day.

He hated to let her dance with anyone else at their reception, but it did give her a chance to hold his boys and be close to them. As they watched their momma dance, Benjamin whispered to them that when they find their one they should hold on to them and move mountains if needed to keep them.

He was brought out of his train of thought by the kids all hugging him.

“Be good and I love you,” they said to each of the kids at the end of the meal, giving them each a hug and kiss.

Freedom, Benjamin whisper–yelled to his wife with a smirk, making her laugh. “Look what I got us,” he said, holding up the bottle of Jack Daniels and wiggling his eyebrows at her.

“But what if I forget?” Pandora asked and he shrugged.

“Then I’ll just have to make you fall in love with me all over again.”

She hummed before kissing him. “Come on, lover, let’s go home. We only have forty–eight hours,” she giggled and he pulled her with her to the car.

Benjamin and Pandora spent the entire weekend without the kids in bed. The only time they left was to get their second tattoos. This time, they both had an infinity symbol tattooed, but with their boys‘ and girls‘ initials around it, and their initials in the middle. Yes, it was a cliche tattoo to get, but for a family of their age, it was perfect.

Benjamin went back to work, and the kids and Pandora spent the last two weeks off from school, getting ready for their new school year. She felt a little sad, but mostly relieved when the kids waved at her as they headed into school the first day.

As soon as they were out of sight, she headed to work.

“Welcome back, Pandora,” Aron called as she passed his door. She gave him a wave and got back to working on the pile of projects that he seemed to have kept for her while she was on vacation.

She had barely made a dent in her workload when she was called into Aron’s office. “I need you to go to the new site. They have female trespasser. The guys say they think she’s been crashing there for a while now. For safety, I told them to leave and then accompany you in when you get there.”

She nodded at him before walking out. This was not the first time they had a squatter on a job site. Normally, Aron tried to deal with those things without police involvement, knowing it was normally a homeless person looking for shelter

It was his normal practice to hire them to work for a few weeks, and in return, they got a place to crash and food to eat.

She grabbed her jacket and sent a text to Benjamin to let him know he may be a little late for their lunch date, She arrived at the site just as Benjamin texted back to say he was also running late.
