Orion immediately recognized the cheerful tone, turning sharply to see Magi strolling casually toward them, a bright grin plastered on his face, the small, fluffy bunny perched comfortably on his shoulder.
Orion’s expression tightened slightly, impatience clear in his voice as he responded firmly, "Magi, we don’t have time to chat right now. Fiora has gone missing."
Magi’s cheerful grin faded immediately, replaced with surprised concern. "Missing? Wait... Boss, now that you mention it, I did see something weird a bit earlier."
Orion’s eyes immediately sharpened, stepping urgently closer to Magi. "What did you see? Tell me everything, quickly!"
Magi scratched his head slightly, recalling carefully. "Well, I saw a suspicious group loading something large into their carriage earlier—like a sack or something. It was moving around a bit, like whatever was inside was struggling. They took the carriage toward the city’s exit. It looked weird as hell, but you know my cultivation... I thought it was better to stay out of trouble since I didn’t recognize them."
Orion’s eyes lit up with sudden hope, immediately turning toward Lucan with a fierce sense of urgency. "Brother Lucan, get the carriage ready! We have to hurry toward the city exit immediately. They might not have gotten too far yet."
"On it, Young Master!" Lucan replied quickly, immediately sprinting toward their carriage and swiftly climbing onto the driver’s seat.
Rina and Edgar quickly boarded the carriage, their expressions grim but resolute. Just as Orion moved to join them, Magi suddenly darted forward, jumping into the carriage without hesitation.
He gave Orion a quick, firm nod, seriousness overshadowing his usual carefree demeanor.
"Boss, I’m not strong, but let me help however I can. I might not know Fiora, but she seems quite important to you, so she’s one of our own—I won’t sit idly by," Magi stated firmly, his gaze surprisingly resolute.
Orion briefly met Magi’s earnest eyes and nodded solemnly. "Alright, stay sharp and keep an eye out."
With everyone swiftly aboard, Orion climbed inside as well, slamming the carriage door shut firmly. "Brother Lucan, hurry! Head toward the main exit as fast as possible!"
"Understood!" Lucan shouted from the driver’s seat, immediately cracking the reins sharply. The carriage surged forward, swiftly weaving through the busy city streets with impressive speed.
Inside the carriage, tense silence briefly hung thickly in the air, broken finally by Rina’s softly anxious voice, "Young Master... will Fiora really be alright?"
Orion reached forward, placing a gentle hand reassuringly on her shoulder, his voice firm but soothing, "We’ll find her. We won’t stop until we do."
As they reached the outer city gate, Lucan urgently called out to the stationed guards, "Did you see a suspicious carriage pass through here recently? Possibly carrying someone unwillingly?"
The guard hesitated slightly, glancing briefly at his partner before quickly replying, "Actually, yes, just moments ago. It left toward the southern highway at high speed."
"The fuck, you goddamn morons, why did you not stop them??" Lucan shouted in anger.
The guards started sweating as they quickly stammered, "Th-The person’s cultivation base was way beyond our level. And it seemed like he would k-kill us if we waited a moment longer."
Orion took a deep breath and quickly ordered Lucan, "Brother Lucan, we don’t have time to waste here. Pursue them immediately! We have to catch up!"
Lucan immediately spurred the carriage onward, accelerating out through the city gate and onto the open path beyond, racing swiftly into the twilight.
Edgar quietly watched Orion, silently admiring his decisive calm despite the tense situation. Rina clutched her hands nervously, while Magi sat unusually serious, his bunny quietly resting in his lap, sensing Magi’s tension as she rubbed her head against his neck.
Orion’s thoughts raced intensely, worry mingling with focused determination. His eyes stared sharply forward, silently vowing internally to himself, ’Just hold on, Fiora. No matter who took you, I’ll find you and bring you back safely.’
[Master... your Life Fire is on the precipice of igniting.]
’What the hell am I supposed to do with that?’ he snapped back, quickly realizing that he was letting his anger out on the wrong person. ’...I’m sorry, Lumi.’
Lumi’s angelic voice sounded in his mind, soothing his soul,
