Chapter 123
Flash Marriage He Made My Jaw Drop
Vivienne’s words were simple but powerful enough for Lindsay.
Damien was worried about her at first, but he was relieved when he saw that Vivienne responded and didn’t lose at all.
Vivienne was always a good debater.
Moreover, Lindsay was just a former blind date, but she was the wife of Damien and their marriage was protected by law.
Lindsay’s expression was slightly stagnant, she didn’t expect that Vivienne was tougher than she thought and she couldn’t even continue talking, so she could only keep smiling.
Damien explained to Vivienne, “Violet introduced me to many women before, and showed me a lot of photos, for fear that I would not be able to marry a wife.”
Seeing that Damien explained so quickly to her, Vivienne felt assured, and said, “Violet has already told me before.”
She had several blind dates before, so it was not a big deal.
Even they met each other on a blind date. Besides, she was now Mrs. Smyth, so there was no need to argue with Lindsay.
Trevor half–covered his face, winking at Lindsay, motioning her to eat quietly. Trevor was afraid that Damien would trouble him later.
Lindsay sat down, she had no appetite at all and she was very quiet the whole time, quietly watching Damien and Vivienne display their affection.
Vivienne had a good appetite, and Damien took care of her all the way, even picking out the fishbone for her.
Trevor said, “You two made me suffer from indigestion. I have to find a girlfriend myself. Vivienne, this is the first time I have seen Damien so patient and considerate. You are a good trainer.”
Vivienne smiled shyly, “Really?”
Damien peeled a shrimp, put it in Vivienne’s bowl, and said, “I treat different people with different attitudes. The treatment for my wife is naturally different from that of good friends.”
Trevor gave a thumbs up and asked, “When are you going to have your wedding?”
Vivienne was about to say that they would not hold a
wedding, but Damien said, “The invitations will be sent out at that time, remember to prepare the present.”
Did Damien want to have a wedding?
Before this, Vivienne had never heard of it.
Perhaps, this was just the way Damien chatted with friends, so she didn’t talk too much.
Trevor said, “You don’t need to worry about the present. I must be the best man.”
Damien said, “If you want to be the best man, you have to pay more.”
Trevor’s eyes widened, “That’s not how it works! I’ve already prepared a present.”
Damien said calmly, “That’s the rule for someone else. I’m short of places for best man. If you don’t want to pay extra money. There are still people queuing up behind you.”
Vivienne laughed at the side, and Trevor surrendered, “All right, I’ll pay you extra money.”
Lindsay finally found the chance and interjected, “Miss Quinn, then can I be your bridesmaid?”
Vivienne’s jaw dropped in shock. She didn’t even know Lindsay, let alone Lindsay was Damien’s blind date before, so it was not suitable for her to be her bridesmaid.
Before Vivienne refused, Damien said to her, “You are not suitable.”
Such blunt words made Lindsay feel a little uneasy, and her face flushed immediately.
Seeing this, Trevor said, “Vivienne must have found a bridesmaid, Lindsay, you are one step late.”
Trevor helped Lindsay with these words.
Lindsay laughed dryly, “What a pity then.”
What Damien said just now was beyond Vivienne’s expectations, and it was a bit hurtful.
But anyone who was familiar with Damien knew that people and things that he didn’t care about would never get into his eyes, and he wouldn’t consider their feelings.
