“Chapter 128

When she knew that Damien had lied to her, Vivienne felt that all the sweetness during this period was like a joke.

She told him everything, no secrets.

But he was always on guard.

Vivienne was sad and distraught, she couldn’t accept this deception.

She would never covet Damien’s house, but as a wife, she should have the right to know.

The more she thought about it, the more uncomfortable Vivienne felt. Just as she was about to get up and go back, a hand grabbed her clothes.

Vivienne was puzzled and looked down, but she didn’t know when there was a little girl hidden under the bench.

The little girl was Eve.

Eve looked at Vivienne timidly, her little hands tightly holding onto Vivienne’s clothes.

Vivienne squatted down and asked curiously, “Little girl, why are you hiding here? Come out quickly, and be careful not to hit your head.”

Eve didn’t come out and shook her head. She just didn’t let Vivienne go and didn’t speak.

Vivienne didn’t know what to do for a moment, and asked softly, “Sweetie, are you playing hide-and-seek with other children?”

Eve shook her head, looking at Vivienne just like that.

Looking into Eve’s eyes, Vivienne felt an inexplicable warmth in her heart.

“Sweetie, can you tell me what your name is and where you live? May I take you home?”

When she heard that she was going to be sent home, Eve shook her head violently and held on to Vivienne’s dress tightly.

Seeing that Eve had been silent, Vivienne couldn’t help but

wonder if Eve was dumb.

Vivienne looked around, but there was no one else, and she

didn’t know where this child came from.

At this time, Eve crawled out from under the chair, looked at Vivienne with big eyes, held Vivienne tightly with one hand, as if afraid that she would run away, and touched her belly with

the other.

Vivienne didn’t understand the meaning at first, but only realized when she heard Eve’s stomach growling.

“Are you hungry?”

Eve nodded, she hadn’t eaten since last night, and she was almost exhausted from hunger.

Eve’s pitiful eyes made Vivienne heartache.

“Then come home with me, and I’ll cook something delicious for you? OK?”

Vivienne didn’t know why she just said that, but she said.

Eve nodded, hugging Vivienne with her skinny arms.

Vivienne smiled, rubbed Eve’s head, and led her home.

Vivienne thought that since this girl was in the community, she probably lived here.

So she took a photo of Eve while Eve was not paying

attention, and then posted it in the group to ask whose child was lost.

After sending a message to the group, Vivienne turned on the TV in the living room, asked Eve to watch some cartoons, and went to the kitchen to cook pasta.

When Vivienne was busy in the kitchen, she glanced at the living room from time to time.

Eve had been sitting and watching TV quietly, neither talking nor laughing, not as lively as the children of her peers.

Vivienne also realized that this child had problems, and she looked so skinny.

Vivienne cooked some pasta and brought it out on a plate. Eve smelled the aroma, and then she slid off the sofa, climbed up to the dining table, and started to eat, gobbling it

voraciously.
