In Hendrix’s view, Vivienne’s astonishment was pretended. 

Hendrix twitched the corners of his mouth, and said sarcastically, “Do you really forget what you have done? Vivienne, you were dating me and another man at the same time. So I guess now you can do the same, right? Why pretend like you are so moral.” 

Vivienne was Hendrix’s first love, and if he didn’t get her, his heart would always be in turmoil. 

The real reason for Hendrix to find Vivienne was that he had never really gotten her, and because he was now successful in his career, there was an element of showing off and conceit in it.
