Mandy glanced down at the ring on her finger, lost in thought.

Out of her sight, Jack's hand, kept at his side, clenched tightly, revealing his inner anxiety.

Even though he didn't want to pressure her, he sincerely hoped they could have a more stable and lasting relationship.

Mandy's gaze fell on his tightly gripped hands, and she chuckled, "Such a pity..."

Jack's eyes dimmed momentarily before hearing her continue, "Maybe if you had insisted, I might have said yes?"

Jack quickly looked up, catching the teasing glint in her eyes, and immediately embraced her.

"Do you mean it?"

A broad grin spread across his face, making Mandy laugh as well.

"I never said yes," Mandy replied with a playful smile, her tone dripping with jest.

How could Jack not understand her hint?

"Guess I'll just have to make you agree then," Without hesitation, Jack kissed her passionately, and they both lost themselves in the moment.
