Chapter 165 A Spy Who Stole Trade Secrets
Charlotte’s heart skipped a beat. She didn’t know why Mrs. Vega, who had decided to escape, suddenly changed her mind, but it was a good thing for her.
Various thoughts flashed through her mind, and she agreed without hesitation. “Of course, no problem. Where are you now? I’ll send someone to pick you up.”
Mrs. Vega didn’t notice anything wrong at all. She just gave an address in a panic and hung up the phone.
Charlotte called Frank in. “Mrs. Vega has taken the initiative to show up. Take some people to pick her up. Try not to let her notice anything wrong.”
Frank nodded and glanced at Joe hesitantly.
Charlotte also frowned. “Isn’t Mr. Smith busy today? Do you still have time to stay here?”
“The matter of the commercial spy has something to do with the Smith Group. I think I have the right to watch the whole process here,” Joe said lightly.
Charlotte knew that the decision he made would not be easily changed, so she did not bother to say anything more to him and
sat back in her chair.
The two of them sat in the office in silence.
Not long after, Frank entered the door with Mrs. Vega, who had been through a lot.
Seeing that Joe was also in the office, Mrs. Vega was stunned at first, but then a complicated emotion flashed across her eyes.
Neither Charlotte nor Joe missed the look. Joe even asked directly, “Do you know me?”
Although this was the first time Joe had met Mrs. Vega, he quickly noticed that something was wrong.
Mrs. Vega shook her head repeatedly. “Mr. Smith has been to the villa, so I know you. But how could a nobody like me know you?”
Joe glanced at her and then turned his eyes to Charlotte, who was not far away. “Is this the person who stole the business information?”
Hearing his words, Mrs. Vega was immediately shocked!
She suddenly looked at Charlotte and denied repeatedly, “What business secrets? Why don’t I understand what you are talking about?! Miss Clinton, I was just delayed for a few days because of something at home. If you don’t agree to continue hiring me, then I will leave first.”
It was not until this moment that Mrs. Vega completely understood that Charlotte had not been kept in the dark all the time. It was obvious that she had already known her identity, but was just acting in front of her
She looked at Charlotte incredulously. “When did you find out?”
