Chapter 206 A Trouble Came Again
What she didn’t expect was that sometimes when she didn’t go to find trouble, trouble would take the initiative to find her.
She received an anonymous text message on her phone. It was a photo of her with Gideon having dinner in the restaurant the last time.
Perhaps because of the photographer’s angle, Gideon looked at her gently in the photo as if there was a deep affection in his
eyes.
There was also a paragraph written on the text message, requesting to meet and talk to her.
Looking at herself and Gideon in the photo, Charlotte frowned slightly.
She had always disdained to deal with such groundless things, let alone explain them. However, this matter was related
to Gideon, and she didn’t want to get him involved in any scandalous news.
When she came to the cafe, she was not surprised to see Wendy inside.
“It’s really you.” Charlotte stood at the table and was not in a hurry to sit down.
Sensing that everyone was looking at her, Wendy frowned and said, “Are you going to just stand there and talk to me?”
Only then did Charlotte sit down.
“Tell me, why did you try so hard to find me here?” Without waiting for Wendy to speak, she took the initiative to ask.
Wendy was no longer mysterious and she could even vaguely feel the eyes of others on her.
Wendy sneered. “You’re still so arrogant.”
Even though Charlotte knew that she was at a disadvantage, she was still as high-profile as ever.
Charlotte did not understand her meaning and was just reacting normally. Why was she being so arrogant?
“If there’s nothing else, Mrs. Smith, I’ll go first.” Charlotte really didn’t want to waste time on Wendy. As she spoke, she was ready to get up and leave.
“Since you already have someone you like, why did you seduce Joe again and again?” Wendy was about to cry. “If you can’t concentrate on loving him, don’t hurt him.”
Charlotte was stunned. She frowned and looked at Wendy. “Are you all right? Please go and see the doctor.”
She felt that she had gone crazy after coming here and didn’t know what was wrong with Wendy as her words were in chaos.
Then she was keenly aware of the camera not far away. The camera had been pointing in their direction. Obviously, their actions had been captured clearly.
Charlotte sneered, bent down slightly, and looked at Wendy. “Why haven’t you made any progress for so many years?”
“You will always rely on others and gain convenience for yourself through obtaining sympathy. Whether it’s Joe or anyone else, it’s always the same.” Charlotte looked at the camera not far away with a meaningful look. Suddenly, she picked up a cup of coffee and poured it over Wendy.
Wendy screamed, and her sharp scream resounded through the cafe.
