Chapter 314 Two Principled Children
Charlotte's gazes were burning, which made Cowper subconsciously lower his eyes.
Cowper was a little shocked when he realized his action. He didn't expect that a woman could give him such a great sense of oppression.
Cowper stood up angrily, "If you want to do this, I can only use the law."
After all, there were a lot of penalty fees in the contract.
Unexpectedly, Charlotte was still very calm. "Okay, as long as you don't regret it."
Her attitude made Cowper confused, "What on earth did I do to make them insist on replacing me?"
The conversation ended on bad terms. Cowper left the Horizon Group angrily.
He thought that as a woman, Charlotte should be easy to talk to, but he didn't expect her to be so stubborn and refuse to speak.
So, he had no choice but to ask Joe himself.
That night, Joe made an appointment with the children to watch children's play together. The song he chose happened to be the one that Ben and Anna liked the most, so the two children were reluctant to refuse.
However, when he invited Charlotte, she refused to go with them on the pretext that she still had work to do.
Although they felt a little regretful, Ben and Anna still nodded sensibly and waved at Charlotte. "Mommy, you have to work hard!"
Charlotte responded to the two children with a smile.
"Hi, Mr. Smith, Nice to meet you. I came here to buy something for my child, and I didn't expect to see you here..." Before Cowper could finish his words, Joe interrupted him.
"It's my private time now. Don't talk about business."
Joe's refusal was very obvious. Cowper did not dare to offend him, so he handed the toys in his hand to Ben and Anna. "Hello, do you like these?"
Cowper had a good plan. He felt that the child must like toys and would definitely accept them.
Unexpectedly, Ben, who had always been silent, refused him immediately. "No, I don't want it."
Joe looked at him in surprise. Ben also raised his head and said to Joe, "Dad, I want to go home."
