Chapter 48 Joe Left 

They were very close to each other. Mia struggled not to take half a step back. Instead, she calmly looked at Joe. 

Both Mr. Lake and Mr. Lee looked at the two of them nervously and were afraid that Joe would do something out of anger. 

Fortunately, Joe just chuckled and suddenly reached out his hand to Mia. “I’ll be in charge of this project from now on. As the person in charge of the Horizon Group, Miss White should also be in charge, right?” 

Mia really wanted to refuse but knew that this project involved billions of dollars, so there must be no problems during their cooperation. 

She had no choice but to put on a business smile. “Since Mr. Smith values this project so much, I’ll naturally cooperate with you.”

show me around the company.”

Mia refused him without thinking. Ben and Anna were still playing with Frank in the company. She couldn’t let them meet. 

Joe thought that Mia didn’t want to stay with him, so his face darkened. “Is this how Miss Clinton treats her guests?” 

“I mean, it’s not convenient for you to visit the company when others are working. Why don’t you come to my office?” Mia knew that her obvious performance would definitely attract his attention, so she quickly added. 

Joe and Mia had been married for three years. How could he not see that she was suddenly nervous?

“My stomach hurts, Joe!”

“I still have something to do today. Why don’t I visit your company next time?” Joe said in a low voice. 

Mia had never thanked Wendy for making trouble like she did today. She replied straightforwardly, “Mr. Smith, since you have something to do, you can go now. See you next time.” 

It would be best if he never came again. 

Joe took a deep look at her and left with a curled lip.
