"A strange old lady?" Charlotte checked the two of them once again, making sure everything was alright before finally letting out a sigh of relief.

Ben and Anna nodded. "After we were pushed into the cave by those people, we initially wanted to go back to find you, but it was too dark... Then, an old lady appeared. She asked us to hold her hand and said she would lead us out. She also asked us lots of strange questions."

"What kind of strange questions?" As Charlotte listened, she felt something was amiss. According to Ben and Anna's descriptions, it seemed like this old lady had been waiting there from the beginning, as if she already knew Ben and Anna would appear.

"She asked us if we liked Dad or Mom more, whether Mom was good to us, and some other questions. I... can't remember them all." Anna looked a bit uneasy and glanced at Ben. Ben then proceeded to recount all the questions the old lady had asked.

Charlotte's brows furrowed tightly. Just based on Ben and Anna's descriptions, this old lady did seem quite peculiar. However, she hadn't harmed Ben and Anna in any way.

The two kids were safe for now, so she didn't dwell on it further.

After making a call to Joe to reassure him of their safety, Charlotte walked out of the cave, holding Ben's and Anna's hands.

At the exit, Joe furrowed his brows and scanned the crowd with his eyes, taking what felt like an eternity before finally spotting them in the crowd.

Joe hurried over and embraced his wife and children tightly.

At that moment, he could finally breathe a sigh of relief.
