Zoe's eyes were slightly red as she shifted her body, revealing Charlotte sitting on the wedding bed.
At this moment, Charlotte couldn't contain her tears. With teary eyes, she looked at Joe and reached out her hand to him.
Joe quickly approached and embraced her.
"Joe really elevated the difficulty of marrying a wife in the entire social circle!"
Trevor came over to David's side and whispered.
Compared to those who just had some thoughts, David was the one who was truly miserable.
Originally, he was almost successful, but a love child emerged out of nowhere, ruining this opportunity.
David glanced at him expressionlessly, "It doesn't matter; I'm not planning to get married anyway."
It wasn't because of Charlotte; he just felt that in the current situation, his priority should be taking care of the child rather than getting married.
Chuckles came from Trevor, "What? Have you become enlightened about worldly desires?"
David couldn't be bothered to explain to him and instead asked, "What did Joe tell you? Why did you surrender so quickly?"
Trevor's face stiffened, and he replied with a serious tone, "That bastard! He used my childhood cross-dressing photos to threaten me! God knows where he got them from!"
While these two were bantering, Charlotte had already composed herself and was being held securely in Joe's arms.
"Don't be afraid; I'll hold you securely," Joe looked down at Charlotte, his eyes filled with tenderness on the verge of overflowing.
Zoe couldn't help but grumpily comment, "After seeing this scene, I'm even less inclined to get married."
Men like Joe require such efforts just to be together, let alone those less-than-ideal ones?
