"What did you say?"
Charlotte pretended to look puzzled, but the bodyguard pulled out a gun and aimed it at her. "Please put down the piece of glass in your hand."
Seeing that the bodyguard had indeed caught her small action, Charlotte reluctantly dropped the piece of glass from her hand.
"Now, please return to your room." Because the window's fence had been damaged by Charlotte, two bodyguards had to temporarily guard the window. Any slight movement from Charlotte, and they would not hesitate to point their guns at her.
Charlotte looked at the window with some regret.
It seemed that next time, she would have to find a way to deal with the guard dogs in the yard before attempting to escape successfully.
Just then, the sealed gate was suddenly cut open, and an angry woman stormed in.
She raised her hand, intending to slap Charlotte, but Charlotte reacted quickly, grabbing her wrist and pushing her aside.
"How dare you defy me?" The woman couldn't believe it, her eyes widening in disbelief as she glared at Charlotte, scolding her harshly.
Charlotte felt that something was amiss. She had never seen the woman in front of her before, so why did she suddenly want to hit her for no reason?
She looked up at the woman and asked, "Who are you?"
Suddenly, Charlotte's gaze stopped on the woman's face, and the more she looked, the more incredulous she felt.
Why did this woman look so familiar? But Charlotte was certain she had never seen her before.
"How dare you ask who I am? It's clearly you who suddenly appeared and took away my child! If it weren't for you, I would have been able to meet him by now!"
The woman's words lacked logical connection, leaving Charlotte increasingly puzzled.
