"But what's the story with that girl? Mr. Howell treats her with such respect!"
"I just heard Mr. Howell call her 'boss'... Could she really be Rose?"
"Are you serious? Rose can't be that young. I bet she's someone Mr. Howell likes, or maybe a friend's sister or something..."
"Yeah, I think so too. She definitely can't be Rose."
The designers all nodded in agreement.
Just then, a staff member stepped out and announced, "The interview is starting now. Number one, please come in."
With that, the chatter stopped. They were about to meet Rose.
...
Lydia and her friends were abruptly tossed out of the design institute. Passersby couldn't help but give them curious looks.
"Lydia, this is all your fault! If it weren't for you, would we have crossed that woman?"
Her two friends were totally fed up with Lydia. Had they not stuck up for her, they wouldn't have tangled with Flora and ended up publicly humiliated!
How were they supposed to keep working in the fashion world now?
"Forget her, let's go! You're nothing but bad luck!"
They were so furious they nearly slapped her; after shooting Lydia a fierce glare, they stormed off.
Lydia stood there, tears falling uncontrollably. She felt so wronged!
It was clearly Flora's fault, not hers!
She pulled out her phone from her bag and turned it on, seeing tons of messages waiting for her.
"Lydia, how'd the interview go? You must've nailed it. You're gonna be a designer at Rose's Studio now, how awesome is that? We've got a big party planned for you tonight!"
A chill ran through Lydia as she read the messages, too embarrassed to admit she'd been kicked out of Rose's Studio!
She called Blake.
