“Who says we don’t have famous designers? Who do you think you are, some invincible force in fashion? Then how come you couldn’t even get through Rose’s Studio’s interview?”

“There are tons of people out there who could run circles around you. You’re not all that, you know!” Diego snapped, his temper usually kept under wraps. Cecelia, his artist, had picked up half her sass from him.

“Sure, there are loads better than me. If you’re so capable, why don’t you call them over?” Lydia remained unfazed, her smile dripping with sarcasm: “Master Taylor, Monica, they’re all a bit better than me. If you’ve got the guts, bring them here. Didn’t you hire a new designer? Let’s see what they’ve got. Or are they too subpar to showcase?”
