"Mike, you—" Jenna was at a loss for words.

Mike was nursing a killer headache, and his tone wasn't exactly warm. "What are you talking about, 'you'? Jenna, why did Flora come looking for trouble with you? Isn't it because you injured her friend first! You went and hurt someone on purpose, and you haven't even apologized!"

He kept nudging Jenna to apologize quickly.

If she apologized now and showed some humility, maybe Flora would let it slide. Otherwise, Jenna was in deep trouble. On one side, you had a third-rate family from Lone Island, and on the other, there was Flora, who was practically a force of nature. Facing them together was enough to make anyone's head spin.

"Me, apologize?" Jenna chuckled in disbelief. "Fighting happens all the time at the medical base, and it's not like I killed anyone. Why should I say sorry? Didn't Flora shoot someone in the leg before and not apologize?"

"Mike, we're both from Lone Island. Why are you backing someone from Austenberg?" Jenna was fuming. "Flora's only been at the medical base for a few days, and she's been nothing but trouble. Someone like her should be kicked out!"

"You started this mess, and now you think you’re right?" Mike was beyond frustrated. First, it was Kylie, and now Jenna. Didn't these two have anything better to do? "Apologize to Flora and to Selene, who you hurt, right now!"

"Flora even trashed my place like this!"

Jenna was indignant, thinking Mike had come to back her up, only to find he was siding with Flora. "Why should someone from Austenberg be allowed to bring bodyguards into the medical base? And Mike, why are you standing up for Flora? What's she done for you?"

"I'll never apologize! Unless Selene is dead, then maybe I'd think about it. Besides, if Selene died, it'd be her own fault! I was clearly after Flora, but she kept getting in my way! If you ask me, her getting hurt is because of your precious Flora."

Jenna was so worked up she started talking recklessly. "Besides, the medical base is survival of the fittest. If she couldn’t dodge a bullet, who’s that on? I didn't even use my full power with that shot. If she couldn’t get out of the way, that's not on me!"

"I'm standing right here. If Selene's got a problem, she can come at me and see if she can hit me too!"

Listening to her, Mike just rubbed his forehead, not even angry but feeling sorry for her.
