Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1142

How could that be possible? Nathan had no reason to lie to him. This was downright absurd! Jenna was so shocked she nearly jumped out of bed. She even wondered if Nathan's age was catching up with him or if he'd been kicked in the head by a mule.

"Great-uncle, are you kidding? Flora is your mentor?!" Jenna couldn't wrap her head around it. "You haven't been duped by that Flora, have you?" The more Jenna thought about it, the more plausible it seemed. "That Flora, always so shady—she must have spun some tale to fool you, right? How could a woman from Austenberg be fit to be your mentor!"

Just as she finished speaking, a commanding middle-aged voice boomed from outside the door. "What, you think the precious gem of the Rivera and Lancaster families being mentored by someone from the Neville family is beneath you?"

Davis and Jenna instinctively turned towards the doorway. A group of people walked in with an impressive air, led by Karter, Amanda, and Ethan, with Mike trailing behind, sporting an apologetic grin.

Davis was so terrified his knees almost buckled. This time, he was really on the verge of kneeling! It was the folks from the four major families! What kind of day was this? Why were all these people here?

Jenna's mind was spinning! She recognized Karter and Amanda. She had tried to curry favor with them before, but they had never given her the time of day. After all, she was just a branch of the Neville family, insignificant compared to the four great families. But now, they were all here. And what did their words mean earlier? What did they mean by the precious gem of the Rivera and Lancaster families?

Nathan, who had been sitting, quickly stood up when he saw Karter and Amanda. "Not wronged at all! Please don’t say that in front of my mentor!" He was worried about upsetting her again. They'd have to make amends all over!

"Mrs. Falcone, Karter, what's going on—" Davis was sweating bullets, stumbling over his words. He suddenly realized that the woman from Austenberg was no ordinary person.
