Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1158

People around nodded, getting the gist of it all. Mike turned his gaze to Flora, torn about what to do. On one hand, letting her skip the outdoor training seemed unfair, but the wild could be risky, and he sure didn't want anything happening to her. If it did, the Rivers and Woods families would have his neck.

"Flora, it's your call whether to join or not. But if you ask me, maybe it's best to—" he trailed off. Sure, it was favoritism, but who could blame him given her influential connections?

Luiz and the others shot Flora envious looks. Dodging the training was like hitting the jackpot! They wished they could do the same.

But Flora shook her head. "I'll join." Outdoor training was no biggie for her. Plus, Selene and her crew weren’t exactly fighters, and the wilderness could spell trouble for them. She’d feel better tagging along to keep an eye on things.

Mr. Tanner had been kind to her, and she wanted to return the favor by looking out for his students.

“Alright then,” Mike sighed. If she was set on going, he'd just have to make sure she had extra protection.

After leaving Mike’s office, Flora headed back to the villa. She and Connor were gearing up to disarm a bomb. Connor had already set aside a bomb disposal suit for her, instructing, “Just hang back and let me handle this, okay?”

“Mr. Connor, you’re selling me short,” Flora teased, wrapping her arms around his waist. “Your fiancée has quite a few tricks up her sleeve.”

“I know you’re amazing,” Connor chuckled, playfully tapping her nose.
