Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1173

Flora surveyed the room with a poker face. Everything around her was minimalist, sticking to a black-and-white theme. Through the window, the vast blue sea stretched out as far as the eye could see.

"Hey, are you hungry, sis?" the young boy asked her gently. "How about I get some food sent up for you?"

Flora cut straight to the point, her eyes icy. "What about my parents' death?"

The boy winced at the coldness in her gaze, his expression darkening.

"If I told you, you'd just find a way to leave..." He paused, then added, "I'll tell you, but not now."

"Are you playing me for a fool?"

Flora's eyes turned even frostier. In a swift move, she stepped forward and grabbed the boy by the neck!

"Young Master!"

Axon, the boy's bodyguard who was stationed outside, suddenly looked alarmed and pulled out his gun!

"Don't shoot, get out!" the boy ordered.

Axon eyed Flora with caution, retreating a few steps while still aiming the gun, wary of what Flora might do.

"Sis, I want you to stay here with me," the boy said, his face turning a shade of purple from the strain, yet he managed a smile, his gaze fixed on Flora. "Stay with me, and I'll tell you about your parents."

Flora felt a wave of anger, genuinely tempted to end him right there. The boy's breathing became more labored, but he continued to look at Flora with a mix of determination and stubbornness. "Sis... stay with me, please?"

"In your dreams," Flora scoffed, her gaze flicking to his still-bleeding arm. Her anger cooled slightly, and she let out a cold laugh before releasing him.

She knew the boy wouldn't spill the beans, but being here meant she would uncover the truth herself. If her parents' deaths were linked to anyone here...

She'd stop at nothing to bring them all down.

The boy leaned against the wall, gasping for air, feeling both discomfort and a strange sense of happiness. Sis hadn't killed him. Did that mean she cared about him, even a little? He let himself believe that for now.
