Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1229

“Flora!” Carly yelled, her voice cutting through the chaos.

With lightning speed, Flora kicked off a nearby stand, soaring through the air before landing effortlessly on the horse's back. Her grip on the reins was firm as she pulled sharply.

“Whoa—” she commanded.

The horse reared up, letting out a wild, agitated neigh, its hooves pounding the ground as if trying to throw Flora off. The bystanders watched, hearts pounding with fear at the scene unfolding before them.

But Flora was unmovable, as solid as a rock. Her hands were steady on the reins, and soon enough, the horse calmed down, halting just half a meter away from a little boy.

The little boy’s hot dog slipped from his hands and hit the ground with a thud: “…”

Perched on the horse, Flora still held the reins loosely. Her features were strikingly confident, her eyes cool and detached, with a hint of rebellion in her smirk. She looked down at everyone like she was on top of the world, leaving them all in awe.

Wow!

Who’s this girl?

She’s incredible!!!

It wasn’t until the child’s mother rushed over, tears streaming as she scooped up her kid, that everyone snapped back to reality.

“Thank you, young lady, thank you so much.”

The woman sobbed her gratitude. She’d been shopping nearby when her son wandered into the street. Without Flora, who knows what might have happened?

“My horse!” a young man, probably around twenty-four or twenty-five, came rushing over. Seeing his horse unharmed, he sighed in relief, patting its head, “Glad you’re alright, buddy.”

“Teddy!” Jacob’s anger flared as he recognized the newcomer. “Are you out of your mind? Your horse almost trampled a kid, and you’re only worried about the horse!”
