The little girl was quite fond of her afternoon naps.
"So, I'll just nap on your lap then," she said with a playful smile.
Flora chuckled, lying down with her head and arms resting comfortably on his thighs. The man's large hand naturally settled on her head, a gentle weight.
"Boss and Ms. Flora are still so sweet together," Beck commented from the passenger seat, a hint of envy in his voice. "Boss is really thoughtful..."
Moss gave him a sideways glance without betraying any emotion.
"If you were as well-behaved as Ms. Flora, I'd be considerate to you too," he thought without saying a word.
"Moss, I'm feeling sleepy too. How about I crash on your lap for a nap?" Beck joked, his expression carefree and teasing.
Moss stiffened, turning his gaze away with a flat "Keep dreaming."
After a solid two-hour nap, Flora returned to the Medical Hall, looking fresh and lively. The disciples there eyed her with a mix of respect and curiosity. Having someone from the Enforcement Division bring her meals personally was not something they dared to mess with.
"Ms. Flora," Tara approached, offering a glass of water. "Here, drink some water."
Flora raised an eyebrow, accepting the glass with a nod.
"Tara, I was worried when you first joined the Martial World. I thought you might struggle with the Summer family issue without many connections. Seems I was worrying for nothing," Tara smiled, her curiosity piqued. "You even know Jonathan... What's the story there?"
Flora gave her a knowing smile. "What do you think?"
