Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1327

"Let's go see what's up." The man let his eyes linger on the girl's slim waist peeking out from under her black tank top for a couple of seconds before standing up, his voice cool and detached.

"Jackson, you're actually gonna help that girl?" Adam was taken aback; he had only mentioned it offhandedly, not thinking Jackson would take any action. Jackson wasn't exactly known for playing the hero.

"I just don’t want any trouble on my turf," Jackson replied casually, grabbing his black jacket from the back of the chair.

Downstairs.

Fiona had just stepped off the stage when someone blocked her path.

"Hey there! Nice figure, sweetheart. Why don't you keep us company for a bit?" A sweaty man with a sleazy grin was surrounded by his buddies, all egging him on.

"Come on, girl, hang with us. We’ll show you a good time."

A good time?

Fiona chuckled to herself, thinking, sure, it’ll be a good time... for her. A bit of a scuffle could be quite satisfying.

She subtly signaled to Mikey with her eyes to stay put, then turned her attention to the men in front of her.

"What kind of fun are we talking about?" she asked, feigning innocence with wide eyes, while quietly stretching her muscles.

She didn't expect a fight so soon, but hey, bring it on! Back in Maple Grove, no one dared mess with her, thanks to Flora's protection. But here in Cedarvale, someone was bold enough to try. Gotta give them credit for guts.

Mikey halted, silently pitying the guy. He knew Fiona too well; despite her nervous and scared act, she was probably plotting her next move.

The man laughed sleazily, misjudging Fiona's act, "I've got a fun spot in mind, wanna come?"

Fiona smiled sweetly, "Sure."
