Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1330

At that moment, up on the rooftop, twenty mercenaries were sprawled out, each clutching a sniper rifle. Their dark muzzles were aimed squarely at the private room where Jackson was.

“We finally got our shot!”

“Take him out, and we’ll snag a five hundred million dollar bounty. We won't have to worry about anything for the rest of our lives!”

One mercenary, sporting a small braid at the top of his head, drifted into a daydream, grinning at the thought of the cushy life ahead. But just then, a light tap on his shoulder jolted him back to reality.

“Quit fooling around! We’re on a mission!” he snapped, annoyed that someone would be messing around at such a crucial time.

The hand continued to tap lightly, almost politely, which only fueled his irritation.

Turning sharply, he barked, “What’s wrong with you? Why do you keep tapping me? Focus on taking out Jackson—that’s the priority!”

“Who’s messing with you?” retorted the guy next to him, equally annoyed at the baseless accusation.

Ready to insist it was him, the man stopped short. The mercenary beside him had both hands firmly on his gun. There was no way he could have patted his shoulder.

So who did?

A ghost?!

His body went rigid with fear as he turned back and was met with a bright, disarming smile.

The girl, noticing his gaze, beamed even wider, her expression innocent and pure. But to the mercenaries, she was as terrifying as a demon.

How had a woman appeared behind them without anyone noticing?

“You... you... you...” he stammered.

“Don’t be scared,” she said with a sweet smile. “I’m very gentle.”
