Upon hearing this, Fiona didn't get upset. She casually flicked a stray lock of hair off her shoulder, a slight smirk playing at the corners of her eyes. "Looks like you don't really want to save him," she said with a cool chuckle.

Her subordinate's eyes went wide with shock. "Of course, I want to!"

He was on the verge of letting out a string of curses, but with Jackson right there, he was at a loss for words. All he could do was swallow his frustration.

"Really now? If you want to save him and there's no other option, why not give me a shot?"

You? Give it a shot? At your age, what could you possibly know?

"Mr. Woods?" The subordinate was nearly beside himself with anger, shooting Jackson a look that pleaded for him to rein in his associate.

Jackson had been eyeing Fiona thoughtfully, as if weighing his options. After a moment, he finally spoke, turning his gaze back to her. "How sure are you?"

"I haven't seen the patient yet, so it's tough to say," Fiona replied honestly. "But from what you've described, I've got a rough idea."

Her lips curled into a slight grin. "I'd say I'm about ninety percent sure."

The remaining ten percent was her way of staying humble. After all, she'd never had a patient she couldn't help.

The subordinate, seeing her confidence, was both angry and worried. Was Mr. Woods really considering letting her handle this?

He was eager to convince Jackson otherwise, but before he could speak, Jackson said, "Alright, I trust you."

Those four words left them both stunned.

Fiona was taken aback because she hadn't expected Jackson to say that. They'd only met a few times, yet he seemed to have a surprising amount of trust in her.

And the subordinate was floored because Jackson actually trusted her! Letting a young girl treat Adam when so many doctors had failed!

"Mr. Woods…"
