“What?!” Mrs. Young shrieked, her voice sharp enough to pierce the eardrums of everyone around! That woman actually ended up in her eldest son's bed?! Unbelievable!
Mrs. Young, too enraged to care about Fiona anymore, snatched her purse and stormed out with an air of fury. Jackson, on the other hand, kept his expression icy and nonchalant.
“So, the Young family really is this chaotic, huh? A father and son sharing the same woman? That's a new low,” he remarked with a sarcastic edge.
The crowd buzzed with whispers, the revelation being too scandalous! Yet, more than the Young family's disgrace, they were intrigued by Jackson's attitude. His disdain for Mrs. Young was palpable.
What had the Young family done to earn his wrath?
Suddenly, several high-society mothers made a mental note to warn their husbands against doing business with the Young family. Any ongoing deals needed to be wrapped up, pronto. Crossing Jackson might mean the Young family wouldn’t see the sun tomorrow.
“Uncle…” Nash rubbed his temples, knowing full well what others didn’t. Was this really necessary? Was it necessary to put Mrs. Young on blast just because she had a few words for Fiona?
Though, he had to admit, it was pretty satisfying to watch.
What really got him was how protective his uncle was over Fiona, maybe a bit too much.
“I wish I had someone like Nash’s uncle, powerful and always looking out for him,” a boy sighed, envy written all over his face.
But that envy was short-lived.
Jackson shot Nash a disdainful glance, “Move it, you’re blocking my view.”
