"I know you won't believe me, no matter what I say, but honestly, this has nothing to do with me."
Louise, finding herself cornered by Fiona's accusations, shifted to playing the victim. Her eyes reddened, and her voice wavered with emotion. "Ms. Fiona, think about it. Why would I want to harm you? You're new here, we don't have any bad blood. I even went out for lunch with you. I'm good friends with Nash, and you're in his class. Why would I ever post something to frame you?"
She turned to Mr. Garcia, her expression fearless. "Mr. Garcia, I didn't do it. I swear. Please believe me."
"Who knows what you're really up to?" Robert chimed in coldly. "You girls can be so petty. Maybe you upset someone without realizing it. The post has your name on it. Are you still denying it?"
"Knock it off."
The guy next to Robert nudged him, nodding towards Nash.
Nash looked seriously upset, his face darkening.
Robert clammed up, deciding it was best to stay quiet.
Fiona let out a sardonic laugh and approached Louise. Towering over her, Fiona had an intimidating presence.
"I'm not the most patient person, so don't test me. You won't like it."
With that, the fierceness melted away as she walked over to Jackson. She took his hand, her eyes sparkling, her voice soft and playful, as if she hadn't just been ice-cold.
"Let's go. I'm starving. I need something tasty."
Jackson, utterly smitten, squeezed her hand and started to lead her out.
Suddenly, a girl burst through the door. Before anyone could react, she was in tears, practically sobbing, "It was all me! Louise had nothing to do with it. I was jealous of Fiona and hacked into Louise's account."
