Nash leaned against the wall, arms crossed, looking as stormy as a thundercloud.

“Hey, Nash…”

A guy nervously opened his bag of chips and held it out to Nash. “Want some?”

Nash shot him a frosty glare. What was that supposed to mean? Was he trying to flaunt the fact that Fiona had given him those chips?

Nash's stare was so intense that the guy nearly dropped the chips out of sheer panic.

What was Nash's deal?! The guy hadn’t done anything to tick him off, so why was he so mad?

The second period was study hall, and Keaton came over to Tyler with a test in hand.

He instructed Tyler to finish it without using any notes or cheating, and to drop it off at his office by tomorrow morning. Keaton was always on top of things like this, giving a diagnostic test to every new student, so the kids in class 19 were pretty much used to it by now.

Tyler started working on the test, focused and unfazed by the noise around him.

Meanwhile, Fiona pulled out her phone from the desk and texted Jackson. He was still asking her about lunch plans, offering to pick her up.

A smile spread across Fiona's face as she thought for a moment, then sent back a list of Southern dishes.

Nash, still stewing in his annoyance, noticed Fiona engrossed in her phone and couldn't help but sneak a peek. He didn't see the messages, just a black avatar. Was Fiona chatting with her uncle?

Nash quickly whipped out his own phone to message Jackson.

Ha! Jackson was his uncle too, and surely, he’d reply to Nash first!

Nash: [Hey, Uncle...]
