Upon hearing this, everyone around couldn't help but look uneasy. Especially Janet. She never expected Fiona to stay so defiant in a situation like this. Wasn't she scared of getting hurt?
And being a high school girl, if something happened to her, it wouldn't be just a minor issue.
"Fiona, can't you just play it cool?" Janet quickly stepped in, grabbing her hand tightly, a flicker of uncertainty in her eyes. "My so-called 'brother' isn't fooling around. You'd better not test him!"
This "brother" was just some guy she met at a club, someone she hung out with a few times. Janet was mainly concerned that if Fiona got into trouble, she wouldn't be able to avoid the blame, so she hoped Fiona would take a hint.
"Isn't this your mess?" Fiona raised an eyebrow at her, chuckling with disdain. "You set me up, and now you're acting like a saint?"
"You..."
Janet trembled with rage.
This girl! She shouldn't have wasted an ounce of sympathy. If she had known, she'd have let her face the music alone!
So what if she gets into trouble?
Fiona glanced at Janet but didn't bother saying more. Meanwhile, Janet whispered something to the leader of the group before leaving with a smile. As she walked away, the leader took the chance to cop a feel.
"Later, big brother," Janet said in a sugary voice.
"You head on out. Once I've handled this girl, I'll call you next time," the leader winked at her.
