At that moment, Jackson put away his phone and strode over, his face as cold as ice, but his eyes softened with endless warmth when they landed on Fiona.
Out of the blue, he reached out and gently tousled her hair, letting out a soft chuckle. "I kind of wish you were after my money, Fiona. I've got more than enough, and I'd love to spoil you with it."
His smooth voice and striking profile could drive anyone mad with envy.
Fiona glanced up at Jackson, a bit puzzled but just as innocent. She wondered if Jackson even realized what he was saying. Sure, he was drop-dead gorgeous, but his words sounded a bit off to her!
Patricia was taken aback. She'd always known Jackson was incredibly handsome, even more so than Nash, but seeing him in person was something else entirely.
Completely bewildered, Patricia looked over at Fiona, utterly confused about why Jackson would be interested in someone as ordinary as her.
If only she could be the one being pampered.
Darn Fiona.
Just then, the chauffeur pulled the car up to the entrance.
"Let's head home," Jackson said softly.
He took Fiona's hand and led her to the sleek, black limited edition Rolls-Royce waiting in front.
Patricia watched Fiona walk away, slowly sinking into confusion. Once she snapped out of it, she yelled toward the car, "Mr. Jackson, Fiona's not as simple as she seems! Her private life's a mess; she's involved with lots of guys!"
But the car drove off, leaving only a trail of exhaust behind.
"Janet, how did Fiona get so lucky?" Patricia fumed, gritting her teeth.
Such an amazing guy like Jackson ending up with someone like Fiona felt completely unfair to her.
