Jackson held Fiona’s hand as they made their way onto the film set. Almost everyone there knew Jackson; he’d been quite the buzz lately. Plus, with Jackson and Fiona's striking looks, they were hard to miss.
Allen tagged along, giving Fiona a rundown of the old town’s history. Meanwhile, a female actress left behind was visibly upset, storming off to another break room. A few lesser-known actors, who had gotten in through her connections, trailed after her.
“Look at Fiona. She doesn’t seem like the type to keep things quiet. She’s already got Allen wrapped around her finger. That statement from Woods Corporation was clearly to protect her,” one of them said, their tone dripping with jealousy as they tried to win favor with the actress.
Jackson was even more handsome than Allen. Coming from a prestigious family, his aloof demeanor was typical of wealthy men. Yet here he was, happily chatting with Fiona, just a high schooler, acting like she was something special.
“By the way, rumor has it Christina hired a private investigator to check out Allen’s movements and Fiona’s background,” someone mentioned.
The actress perked up at this, her eyes lighting up as she fiddled with a hairpin, looking at the speaker. “Really?”
Feeling a bit on edge under her gaze, the person nodded.
“Is the fashion group planning to switch Allen’s manager?” the actress asked, adjusting the hairpin in her hair, making her look even more striking.
“Seems like it, but no official word yet. Though Christina, Allen’s manager, didn’t show up on set today.”
The actress, hearing this, quickly hatched a plan. She snapped a few photos with her phone and sent them off in a chat. Satisfied, she set her phone aside and continued fussing with her hair.
