Fiona really didn’t want to put Keaton in a tough spot, but she wasn’t the type to let things slide without settling the score.
“Now that everything’s out in the open, don’t you think it’s time we address my issue?” Fiona’s voice hung in the air, capturing everyone’s attention.
The crowd was bewildered—what else could Fiona possibly want to address?
Within seconds, Patricia’s expression shifted to one of fear. She took a step back, avoiding Fiona’s gaze like it held some kind of power.
Keaton stepped forward, trying to calm Fiona down. Even if there was a problem, it could wait until they were back at school to sort it out.
“You accused me of murder, yet here I stand, not a murderer. So, how are we going to settle this?” Fiona’s smile was edged with a hint of frost.
Nobody spoke up to clarify. Fiona had seen this coming, her voice steady, her eyes gleaming like clear-cut gems.
“What do you want?” one of the women finally asked.
“I want an apology,” Fiona said softly, a calm smile touching her lips. “From every single one of you.”
Faces around her turned as white as sheets. No one expected Fiona to have such nerve.
And could she even handle apologies from all of them?
“Hmph, this girl just doesn’t know when to quit. So what if we were wrong about you?”
“Yeah, who do you think you are, demanding apologies? What a joke.”
