Flora got the message and just raised an eyebrow, responding with a casual "Hmm."
A minute later, Aisha initiated a video call.
Flora hit the accept button.
Aisha seemed to be at her office, skyscrapers looming in the background. Her eyes were a bit misty as she looked at Flora through the screen and said, "Flora, thank you!"
...
Three hours earlier.
Gale Corporation.
Aisha arrived at the meeting room early, with some time to spare before the shareholders' meeting was set to start, so only a few shareholders were there.
When they saw her, the shareholders greeted her, though not too warmly.
Aisha kept a polite smile, replying to each one.
"Mr. Gregory, you're here!"
The shareholders who had been pretty indifferent to Aisha quickly warmed up when they saw the middle-aged man walk in.
Their treatment of Aisha and Gregory was like night and day.
The middle-aged man was Aisha's uncle Gregory, who had been running Gale Corporation since Aisha's father passed away.
Most of the shareholders followed Gregory's lead, except for a few who stayed neutral.
Gregory walked up to Aisha, noticing her slightly red eyes, and asked with concern, "Aisha, your eyes are so red. Haven't you been resting well?"
"Thanks for your concern, Uncle," Aisha replied nonchalantly.
Gregory smiled warmly, "Haha, how's that little project on the simulation robot going? If there's anything you don't understand, feel free to ask me."
At 8:30, the shareholders' meeting officially started, and all the shareholders filed in.
The meeting's goal was to decide between Aisha and Gregory's proposals for the simulation robot project, with the shareholders deciding whose plan was better.
The shareholders knew Aisha was a rookie compared to Gregory, who had decades of experience in the business world.
