Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 424

Someone had shared the latest gossip on the school forum, and now, the University of Maple Grove had a new favorite pastime: guessing who would bring gifts for Flora today and what those gifts might be.

Flora glared at the gift box on her desk, her expression darkening. Without a word, she grabbed it and tossed it into the trash.

Cynthia quickly stepped in, “Hold on, Flora! That’s Tiffany’s latest collection, worth thousands. Throwing it away would be such a waste.”

“Flora, you’ve got to come up with a solution. This can’t keep going on,” Eilies added.

Over the past few days, Flora had received enough gifts to fill an entire basket: a Chanel bag, Armani lipstick, Yves Saint Laurent perfume. Annoyingly, the gifts were all spot-on, clearly the result of thorough research into what girls liked.

Flora felt a headache coming on; she had never been pestered like this before. If this kept up, she’d have to calm Connor down again. He could be quite the jealous type.

After class, Flora wasn’t surprised to see Ivan waiting at the door. He was holding a box of chocolates. He shoved the chocolates into her hands and bolted.

Flora grabbed him by the collar, dragging him into an empty classroom, and slammed the door shut. “Take these back and stop bothering me.”

“A gift for a girl should never be taken back,” Ivan said, waving his hand. “Flora, we really want you to join the contest.”

“So, you’ll just keep sending gifts if I don’t agree? Throwing away thousands of dollars doesn’t bother you?”

“It’s natural for boys to give gifts to girls, and a few thousand dollars isn’t much!” Ivan said earnestly. “Besides, I really admire you. Even if you don’t join us, it’s fine. These gifts are given freely.”

Girls are born to receive gifts, right?
