"Who even cares! It's just a simple trick, nothing to brag about!"
Brianna’s face, still holding on to a touch of baby fat, was now flushed with anger. She huffed, slung her backpack over her shoulder, and stormed off.
In the past, everyone would have been worried about upsetting her and would have rushed to calm her down. But now, they were all eager to learn from Flora how she had managed to create such an impressive defense system. No one had the time to cater to Brianna's mood swings. After waiting in the hallway for what felt like ages and seeing no one come after her, she stomped her foot in frustration.
"They're being so mean, so annoying!" she fumed.
Just then, Brianna's phone pinged. She glanced at the screen; it was Aisha calling.
"What's up, cousin?"
"Hey, where are you? I'm near your school. Wanna hang out?"
"Sure, send me the address. I'll be right there."
Brianna was feeling pretty sulky and needed someone to talk to. After hanging up, she headed to the café Aisha mentioned.
When she arrived, she saw Aisha sitting against the wall, wearing a hat and a mask.
"Cousin!"
She walked over and sat down across from her.
"Why does our little princess look so unhappy?"
