The woman, her face twisted with rage, yelled, "You shameless hussy! Trying to steal my man, huh? Don’t think I can’t recognize you just because you’re wearing a mask!"
She stormed forward, hand raised to strike.
Flora smoothly sidestepped, her eyes radiating impatience. "Why don’t you keep your man in check instead of throwing a tantrum here?"
The woman, now even angrier, tried to slap Flora again.
But Flora had had enough. With a swift kick to the shin, the woman stumbled and fell, her knee landing on the shattered remains of a wine glass.
“Take a good look. Am I really the one you’re after?”
The sharp pain in her knee brought a moment of clarity. She realized she might have mistaken Flora for someone else.
Flora’s voice was clear and cold, nothing like the sultry tone of the woman she’d mistaken her for. But the similar outfit had confused her.
Seeing Flora in a denim jacket that hugged her figure, a flash of jealousy crossed the woman's eyes. Middle-aged and a mother of two, she no longer had the youthful allure she once did. Her husband had left her for someone else.
Even if Flora wasn’t the vixen she thought, she was still no good in her eyes—another little temptress!
The pain from her knee only made her angrier.
Struggling to her feet, blood streaming from her knee, she shouted, “I know I’m right! You’re the slut trying to steal my husband! You better kneel and apologize right now, or else I’ll make you pay!”
Her boldness was likely due to noticing that Flora wasn’t dressed in designer brands. Just a young girl here, probably someone’s side piece with no real power.
Lance and Colton frowned deeply.
This audacious woman, daring to insult Ms. Flora!
She clearly had no idea who she was messing with!
