As soon as Flora finished speaking, a chorus of snickers echoed from the end of the long alley.
"Ha ha ha! Such a young thing, but with a mouth on her. Let's see who's really looking for trouble!"
Several tall men stepped out of the shadows, the cold moonlight revealing dark green snake tattoos on their bare arms, sending shivers down the spine.
Cynthia and Eilies both took a step back, their palms sweaty with fear.
These guys were clearly bad news, and the girls had no chance against them!
"Flora," Cynthia whispered, tugging at Flora's sleeve, her voice trembling, "we should run back!"
They were blocked ahead, but they could still turn back! If they could just reach a crowded place, they'd be safe!
But as soon as Cynthia finished, a few more men appeared at the other end of the alley, cutting off their escape.
They had heard Eilies's words and laughed mockingly, "Weren't you acting all tough just now? Scared now?"
The men's loud breathing and laughter echoed ominously in the night, making Cynthia and Eilies feel like their scalps were about to explode!
"Don't worry, I'm here." Flora said lazily, trying to calm them down.
Cynthia and Eilies were on the verge of tears.
How could they not be scared? They knew Flora was tough, but she couldn't possibly take on a dozen burly men!
"Ha ha ha! Looks like we've hit the jackpot tonight," a man with a scar across his face said, his eyes roaming over Flora's body, "Sweetheart, just be a good girl and play with us, and we'll let your friends go. Deal?"
